Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson has rejected what he described as a “ceasefire” offer following his allegations of irregularities involving infrastructure projects in Taguig City.
In a post on X, Lacson dismissed the supposed peace offer, saying it came from the same camp that allegedly started the attacks against him.
“CEASEFIRE MY FOOT! Anong uri ng tao ang magde-declare ng giyera, toy gun ang dala, at laway ang bala; pag na-confront ng bomba, magre-request ng ceasefire, pabulong pa?” Lacson wrote.
The senator earlier claimed to have uncovered evidence of double billing and other anomalies involving slope protection and other infrastructure projects in Taguig.
He said the documents have already been submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman and that more details will be presented during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on flood control projects.
Lacson also defended the increase in his net worth after former Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano allegedly questioned his wealth.
According to Lacson, his assets grew through legitimate business ventures while he was out of the Senate for three years.IMT
