Motorists get a three-month break as the Land Transportation Office (LTO) allows penalty-free renewal of driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations, following an order from the Department of Transportation.

DOTr chief Giovani Lopez said the moratorium covers licenses, including student and conductor permits, and registrations expiring this month.

“We gave an instruction sa LTO to basically give a moratorium… for the next three months, pwede sila mag-rehistro kumuha ng lisensya without any penalties,” said Lopez.

The move is part of a wider transport relief package ordered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., which includes fuel subsidies, cash aid, and fare discounts to ease rising costs for drivers and commuters.IMT
