President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has assured tennis star Alex Eala of the government’s full support as he honored her at Malacañang for her historic Wimbledon campaign.
Marcos Jr. said Eala has become a source of pride for Filipinos not only because of her victories but also because of the way she carries herself on and off the court.
“You have brought such pride to the Philippines, to the Filipinos, and not only because of your success, but also because the grace with which you handle that success,” the President said.
He reminded Eala that the entire country is behind her. “We are all 110 million of us. We are all here behind you, willing you on to greater success.”
Marcos Jr. also offered the government’s full support, saying, “If there’s anything that we can do to help you, just say so. You have it.”IMT
