Police seized P102.4 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 593 drug suspects in 487 operations in Iloilo City from January to August.
The operations resulted in the confiscation of 15,062 grams of shabu and 98.5 grams of marijuana, according to a report released by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).
Of those arrested, 162 were classified as high-value individuals, 413 as street-level individuals, seven as not listed and 11 were arrested by virtue of warrants.
ICPO Director Col. Wilbert Parilla said police will sustain their anti-drug operations against individuals involved in illegal drug activities.
“These accomplishments reflect not only our operational efforts but also the cooperation of the community and the lives we help protect. Our campaign remains relentless. There are no limitations, whether during holidays or ordinary days, our fight continues,” he said.
