The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) seized more than P80.6 million worth of suspected methamphetamine (shabu) and arrested 431 suspects during its intensified six-month anti-drug campaign.
According to official police records spanning January 1 to June 30, 2026, the sustained operations resulted in the confiscation of approximately 11,855.38 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P80,616,611.88, and 88.2133 grams of marijuana.
Of the 431 individuals apprehended, 125 were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs), 297 were street-level individuals (SLIs), seven were wanted persons arrested on existing warrants, and one was an unlisted drug personality.
The ICPO launched a total of 355 anti-illegal drug operations in the first half of the year. The crackdowns successfully targeted various echelons of local drug syndicates.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) spearheaded the campaign, accounting for both the highest number of arrests and the largest volume of drug seizures. It intercepted P41,928,692.56 worth of illegal drugs and arrested 80 suspects.
Other local stations also registered significant accomplishments:
▪️Iloilo City Police Station 4 (ICPS4): Recorded 63 arrests and seized P 10,558,893.80 worth of illegal drugs.
▪️Iloilo City Police Station 2 (ICPS2): Logged 57 arrests and seized PHP 14,570,600.04 worth of contraband.
▪️Iloilo City Police Station 10 (ICPS10): Arrested 35 suspects and confiscated P4,152,671.60 in illegal drugs.
The remaining arrests were distributed across other sectors: ICPS6 (31), ICPS3 (29), ICPS9 (29), ICPS7 (28), ICPS5 (27), ICPS1 (26), ICPS8 (24), and the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (2).
ICPO director Police Colonel Wilbert B. Parilla lauded the operating personnel, partner law enforcement agencies, and the local community for their collaborative vigilance in addressing the drug menace.
“The confiscation of more than P80 million worth of illegal drugs reflects our unwavering commitment to protecting the people of Iloilo City from the harmful effects of illegal substances,” he said in a statement.
“With the continued support of our stakeholders, partner agencies, and the community, the Iloilo City Police Office will relentlessly intensify its anti-illegal drug operations,” Parilla added.
All arrested suspects are currently in police custody and are facing formal charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.IMT
