The Marcos administration is encouraging more Filipinos to take advantage of lower Pag-IBIG housing loan rates, saying owning a home is now more affordable.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the reduced interest rates and expanded loan options are in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s goal of helping more Filipinos buy their own homes.

“Alinsunod sa mithiin ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na gawing mas abot-kamay ang pabahay para sa mga Pilipino, pinababa na ng Pag-IBIG ang loan rates at pinalawak pa ang housing loan options na angkop sa inyong budget,” Castro said.

She said qualified borrowers can enjoy lower monthly payments during the first three years of their loan.

For house-and-lot units worth more than P950,000 and condominium units priced above P1.8 million up to P4.9 million, the promotional interest rate is now 4.5 percent for the first three years.

Meanwhile, housing loans worth over P4.9 million up to P10 million will carry a 5.75 percent promotional rate for the same period.

Castro said the promo runs until December 31, 2026, and urged qualified Pag-IBIG members to take advantage of the offer.IMT
