Malacañang said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains focused on work despite the latest survey showing an improvement in his public satisfaction rating.
“Ang Pangulo ay hindi po apektado ng numero. Tumaas ‘yan, bumaba ‘yan. Ang focus ng Pangulo ay magtrabaho,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said on Wednesday, July 15.
Castro added that the President’s priority is delivering government services regardless of survey results.
The latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed Marcos’ satisfaction rating climbed to 38 percent in the second quarter of 2026 from 33 percent in March. Those dissatisfied dropped to 45 percent from 49 percent.
Castro said the administration still studies survey results to identify areas that need more attention, but stressed the President is not driven by ratings.
“In the first place, hindi naman siya tatakbo bilang Pangulo sa susunod. So trabaho lang po ang Pangulo,” she said.
The nationwide survey interviewed 1,200 adults from June 20 to 29.IMT
