The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)–Iloilo Chapter will launch Kape Ta Iloilo, a web application promoting local coffee shops.

‎PCCI-Iloilo president Jerduen “Noi” Dongor said the platform, accessible through www.kapetailoilo.com, will help small coffee shops gain greater public exposure while making it easier for residents and tourists to discover cafés across Iloilo.

‎The web app will be free to use, will allow coffee shop owners to list their establishments at no cost, and will also provide information on local cafés, coffee farmers, and homegrown coffee sources.

Meanwhile, City Mayor Raisa Treñas expressed support to the initiative, saying that the platform will strengthen Iloilo’s coffee culture through cafe guides, coffee crawls, and data that could support future planning, sustainability, and inclusivity.‎

‎The initiative, according to the mayor, will also serve as a step toward developing the Iloilo City Gastronomy Experience web app, which aims to further strengthen the city’s identity as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.Pia Maleriado, WVSU-COC intern/IMT
