“BILIB LANG AKO SA NAG TOPNOTCHER NA HINDI NAGREVIEW CENTER,” said one teacher vlogger.

I have been in the teaching vocation for almost all my life. In 2003, I was a part of one of the biggest language centers in Iloilo City when teaching Koreans was at its peak . Until now, I am still engaged in education as a school directress— this time of my own school/s since 2019. I am a journalist by profession and the only thing that would make me a legal practicing teacher is the license. So, I enrolled for a teaching certificate and took the board. When the LEPT result was released in December last year, I never doubted myself to pass. In fact, I was hoping for the top 10, despite just doing SELF-REVIEW. I first searched for my name on the list. But then, for some reason, I fell short on a few points. Although, I got a considerably high rate overall. I wasn’t able to reach my expected rate in General Education probably due to erasures (as for my estimate I should’ve gotten somewhere 90 or higher) and got only 80+ rate in Professional Education because I was very complacent that it is the easiest of all, as most of what I have reviewed on, with the resources online, were too logical & situational, and I usually had 2-3 mistakes only in most drills.

Then, something knocked, “WHAT IF I JOINED A REVIEW CENTER?” What if I took the traditional way to achieve that specific goal —which was not just to PASS? Things could’ve turned to my favor— and probably, I could have performed better than just doing things on my own.

So, yes, REVIEW CENTERS matter and they exist to SUPPORT— to make sure that ONE GETS A POSITIVE RESULT, either the goal is to PASS or to TOP because you can neither retake the board nor change your fate to improve your rate once you passed. So, to avoid the WHAT IFs, it is always fair you acquire the much needed learning and exam strategies from the best review center/s—given the chance to get the guidance, especially when you are on the most ideal direction. At review centers, not only will you learn projections, but you will also acquire the skills helpful in facing crucial or confusing aspects.

Carlo E. Balita, founder of a recognized review center in the Philippines—is right after all, that “YOU DON’T NEED TO IMPRESS ANYONE.”

Who CARES about what others think? Bitterness of others’ success is actually one of the hardest to beat, it stains deep inside a person.

Isn’t it that teachers exist to make learning effective, and to sharpen the mind of students? So as, REVIEW CENTERS exist to produce the BEST of the CROP.
