Senator Erwin Tulfo is pushing a measure that would make professional examinations free for qualified indigents.
Under Senate Bill No. 2035 or the “Free Professional Examinations Act,” beneficiaries will be exempt from paying exam fees.
The proposal covers PRC board exams, Civil Service Eligibility Exams and Bar Exams.
Tulfo said many graduates fail to get licensed because they cannot afford examination fees.
The DSWD will determine who qualifies for the benefit, which may be availed of only once a year.IMT
