Senator Mark Villar has filed a bill seeking free and lifetime-valid PWD IDs for persons with permanent disabilities.
Under Senate Bill No. 2134, qualified PWDs would no longer need to renew their IDs every five years.
“Hindi na dapat dagdagan pa ng pahirap at gastusin ang ating mga kababayang PWDs,” Villar said.
The proposed measure requires permanent disabilities to be certified by local health offices before lifetime IDs are issued.
“Makakaasa po kayo na patuloy nating itataguyod ang kapakanan, dignidad, at inklusibong paglahok ng mga PWD,” he added.IMT
