Focus crimes in Western Visayas declined by 10.4%, with the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) recording 689 incidents from May 22 to October 15, 2026, down from 769 incidents between December 26, 2025, and May 21, 2026.
The figures represent a decrease of 80 incidents, according to PRO-6 data.
The Iloilo City Police Office recorded the biggest decline at 34.53%, followed by the Capiz Police Provincial Office at 18.87% and the Aklan Police Provincial Office at 18.48%.
PRO-6 Regional Director Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño said the decrease reflected the police force’s continued efforts to maintain peace and order across the region.
However, Tuaño stressed that the decline should not lead to complacency among police personnel.
PRO-6 will continue strengthening police visibility, intensifying anti-criminality operations and engaging communities to sustain the gains in crime prevention.IMT
