Exciting activities have been lined up for the celebration of the highly anticipated Dinagyang Festival in January 2024.

To signal the start of the Dinagyang season, the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI) will hold “Pamukaw” (wakeup call) on December 16, 2023, 6 a.m.

The Opening Salvo is set on January 12 next year, 3 p.m. at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand. This will give a sneak peek of the performances of this year’s participating tribes.

The Coronation Night of Miss Iloilo 2024 is scheduled on January 13, 7 p.m. at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo Business Park (IBP).

The Iloilo Arts and Music Festival is slated from January 20 to 21.

The Dinagyang Food Festival, which is expected to be “much bigger,” will run for four days from January 25 to 28 in the downtown area.

The Fluvial and Solemn Foot Procession from the Iloilo River to the downtown area and the Dinagyang ILOmination Streetdance Competition and Float Parade of Lights will be on January 26.

Competing tribes for ILOmination will perform in three judging areas – Atria Business Park, SM City Iloilo and IBP.

On January 27, the activities include Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan (8 a.m.), Festive Parade( 1 p.m.), Sadsad sa Calle Real (2 p.m.), and Grand Religious Sadsad (7 p.m.).

The Dinagyang Tribes Competition is set on January 28, 8 a.m. This will be followed by the Awarding Ceremony at 7 p.m.

The Dinagyang 2024 is anchored on the theme, “Pagdayaw kay Señor Sto. Nino, Padayaw sang mga Ilonggo!” IMT
