Thousands of Ilonggos are now building better futures after securing jobs through the Iloilo City Government’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Job Fair, which continues to connect job seekers with local and overseas employment opportunities.
From July 2025 to June 2026, the city’s employment facilitation efforts successfully helped 20,096 individuals obtain employment, which underscores Mayor Raisa S. Treñas administration’s commitment to expanding job opportunities and strengthening the local workforce.
For the said period, PESO organized 19 job fairs and 200 recruitment activities, generating 120, 839 job vacancies and referring 23, 626 job seekers to participating employers.
Apart from these, the office also conducted 176 Local Recruitment Activities (LRAs) and 24 Special Recruitment Activities (SRAs), bringing recruitment services closer to communities and enabling employers to fill vacancies more efficiently while making job opportunities more accessible to Ilonggos.
Since its establishment in 1999, the PESO Job Fair Program has served as a vital link between employers and job seekers by providing employment matching, recruitment services, career guidance, and access to both local and overseas job opportunities.
