President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has assured Filipino workers that wage increases will continue following the approval of the P85 daily wage hike in Metro Manila.

“Magtutuloy-tuloy na ang pagtaas ng sahod ng mga manggagawa sa Pilipinas,” Marcos said, according to Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

Castro said Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards are continuing their studies for wage adjustments in other regions.

She said the President expects more wage increases to be approved before the end of 2026.

According to Castro, the administration has recorded its highest number of wage increases over the past four years, with total approved salary adjustments now reaching P210 since 2023.IMT
