The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases has de-escalated the quarantine status of the province and city of Iloilo.

From Alert Level 3, Iloilo will under Alert Level 2 starting from March 1 to 15, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced on Sunday, Feb. 27.

City Mayor Jerry Treñas said he was “glad that the IATF listened to [their] appeal” to downgrade the city’s status.

“We will slowly revive our economy so that all jobs lost during the pandemic will be restored.”

There are currently 3,087 and 549 active COVID-19 cases in the province and city, respectively, according to data from the Department of Health (DOH-6).

The IATF also placed Antique and Negros Occidental under Alert Level 2.
