Iloilo City to experience 12-hour power interruption on May 31

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has requested a 12-hour scheduled power interruption within the franchise area of MORE Power on Sunday, May 31.

This is to carry out uprating works in relation to the energization of the 3rd 100 MVA power transformer that is part of the upgrading of NGCP’s Iloilo Substation.

Part of their activity involves the shutdown of one 100 MVA Power Transformer, leaving only one temporary transformer to serve the consumers.

In this situation, NGCP’s capacity will be limited, and there is a possibility of implementing Manual Load Dropping to prevent the Power Transformer from being overloaded.

As a result, all the consumers served by the Mandurriao Substation, Megaworld Substation, and Jaro Substation will be affected.

MORE Power will have ride-on activities in relation to the interruption.
