The Iloilo Provincial Government formally inaugurated and received the Information Technology infrastructures worth P2.75 million for the Digital Project Monitoring System funded under FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund.

The project is expected to modernize how infrastructure and development initiatives are tracked and managed across the province through a centralized digital platform with real-time monitoring capabilities.

Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. received the grant from Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Iloilo Provincial Director Engr. Carmelo Orbista, who cited Iloilo’s continued commitment to good governance and effective local administration as key to earning the national incenti the province’s continued commitment to good governance made Iloilo deserving of the national incentive.

“The province continues to demonstrate excellence in local administration and development initiatives, making it deserving of support mechanisms such as the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund,” he said.

He added that digitalization has become essential in public service.

“The Department of the Interior and Local Government recognizes that digital transformation is no longer an option but a necessity in ensuring efficient public service delivery and accountable governance,” Orbista stressed.

The Digital Project Monitoring System is designed as a centralized technology-driven platform that tracks, analyzes, and manages the entire life cycle of provincial projects.

By automating data collection and providing real-time updates, the system is expected to help ensure projects stay on schedule, remain within budget, and meet intended goals.Balita Halin sa Kapitolyo
