Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan is urging his fellow lawmakers to immediately pass the proposed Anti-Ticket Scalping Act following reports that BTS concert tickets are being resold at excessive prices.
Pangilinan said many fans have complained about scalpers taking advantage of the demand for BTS’ scheduled 2027 concert in the Philippines.
Reports showed some tickets are being resold for as much as P30,000 to P90,000, far above their original prices.
The bill seeks to penalize ticket scalpers with fines and possible jail terms while strengthening monitoring of ticket sales and online reselling activities.IMT
