Local government units (LGUs) will receive P1.32 trillion in National Tax Allotments in 2027, an increase of P129.32 billion from the previous year, according to Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.

Recto said the allocation is based on a formula mandated by law and will be highlighted by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his State of the Nation Address next month.

“These are guaranteed plowbacks that will go from big cities to the remotest barangays,” Recto said.

Under the allocation formula, provinces and cities will each receive P303.56 billion, municipalities P448.84 billion, and barangays P263.97 billion.

Recto said all LGUs are expected to receive higher shares next year due to increased national tax collections.IMT
