President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the inauguration of the P400-million West Visayas State University (WVSU) College of Law (COL) Building 1 in La Paz Iloilo City on Friday, June 5.

The four-story building has six theater-type, air-conditioned classrooms, two moot court rooms, arbitration rooms, a library, a legal clinic, conference rooms, and other essential amenities.

Marcos was joined by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon, WVSU President Dr. Joselito Villaruz, and COL Dean lawyer Ian Thomas Besana.

The President said the new facility will allow even more young people to pursue that dream closer to home and with the tools they need to succeed.

“For every student who believes that the law can change not only their own life but also the lives of others, this building is an investment in your future. More importantly, it is an investment in a justice system that is within reach of every Filipino.”

Before the inauguration, President Marcos delivered his keynote address  to the graduating class during the COL 3rd Commencement Exercises.IMT
