An NBI investigator told the Senate impeachment court that he considered Vice President Sara Duterte’s alleged threat against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, and former Speaker Martin Romualdez to be “absolute.”
Senior Agent John Mark Calilung made the statement during questioning by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.
“The threat is absolute, sir,” Calilung told the impeachment court.
Asked whether the statement was merely conditional, Calilung maintained, “Even with or without sir, it’s still considered a threat.”
The alleged threat is one of the articles of impeachment against Duterte, with Calilung serving as the prosecution’s first witness on the charge.IMT
