Malacañang on Monday, June 29, said the Marcos administration will continue implementing programs to shield Filipino families from rising prices despite the country’s easing inflation rate.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the government cannot afford to be complacent because of the continuing impact of the global oil crisis.

She said fuel subsidies for public utility vehicle operators, farmers and fisherfolk, assistance for farm inputs, KADIWA stores, and the government’s rice programs will remain in place to help consumers.

She also said more assistance is being prepared for sectors still struggling with high prices, although she left it to Marcos Jr. to announce the details.IMT
