The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) has endorsed complaints against four Facebook accounts accused of spreading false information involving Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa.
The accounts allegedly claimed that the Supreme Court had blocked any attempt to arrest or surrender Dela Rosa to the International Criminal Court.
Among those named in the complaint were KaChizmaze, Booc TVs, Cris Lademora, and Lenny Quirz/Line Quirong.
The PCO said the Supreme Court actually denied Dela Rosa’s petition for a temporary restraining order and/or status quo ante order.
“We warn vloggers and users of social media platforms: do not exploit public confusion for views, engagement, or monetization by spreading false news. Fabricating a Supreme Court ruling and presenting it as news is a serious offense,” said PCO Acting Secretary Dave Gomez.IMT
