No Ilonggo overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have been reported affected by the recent mass riots in France, according to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Iloilo province.
PESO head Dr. Cynthia P. Dario said that the Bulig Ilonggo Task Force is actively monitoring the safety of Ilonggos overseas.
She assured the public that should any report reach their office, the task force is prepared to record the workers’ information, evaluate their current situation, and immediately extend the necessary assistance.
The unrest in France was triggered by mounting public frustration over high inflation, rising fuel costs, and education sector concerns, according to international media reports.IMT
