The Senate has been served a subpoena for CCTV footage and the preventive suspension order against Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca as the Office of the Ombudsman digs deeper into last week’s shooting incident.
The probe stemmed from the commotion that broke out while Sen. Ronald dela Rosa was staying at the Senate under protective custody over an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.
Aplasca earlier admitted firing a warning shot at agents of the National Bureau of Investigation near the Senate compound.
Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla earlier ordered Aplasca’s preventive suspension as investigators looked into allegations that the incident may have been staged.
Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage as part of the ongoing investigation.IMT
