Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas has introduced three new programs to expand the city’s RISE-to-ACTION Framework from 42 to 45 initiatives, focusing on medical assistance, free maintenance medicines and youth development.
Treñas announced the programs during her second State of the City Address (SOCA) on Monday, Oct. 26, under the theme “Ilonggo: Sentro sang Progreso kag Serbisyo.”
The first initiative, Haplos, will provide medical and laboratory assistance to Ilonggos who need additional support for their healthcare needs.
The second program, MediSen+, will offer free maintenance medicines to qualified senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) with hypertension and diabetes. Distribution is scheduled to begin on October 29.
The third initiative, G NA YOUTH, aims to provide young people in Iloilo City with more opportunities through training and livelihood programs.
Treñas said the additional initiatives respond to the actual needs of communities, emphasizing that city programs must deliver tangible benefits rather than remain promises.
The city also highlighted the expansion of ATIPAN-on-the-Move, which has served nearly 4,000 residents across four barangays.
“The Ilonggo is at the center of our progress and public service,” Treñas said.IMT
