West Visayas State University (WVSU) in La Paz, Iloilo City is among the top performing schools in the October 2023 Physicians Licensure Examination.
Based on the results released by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), WVSU ranked ninth with a passing rate of 89.81 percent.
Of the 108 WVSU graduates who took the exam, 97 made the cut. Ninety-six of those who passed were first timers while one was a retaker.
A total of 4,083 out of the 6,456 passed the exam given by the Board of Medicine in Iloilo and 13 other areas.
“The result of examination with respect to one examinee was withheld pending validation of the submitted documents,” PRC said.IMT
