Cabinet Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. called out the reported behavior of a foreigner who allegedly cursed at and verbally harassed people who tried to interview him after he walked out of a public consultation in Oton, Iloilo on Friday, Aug. 14.
Abalos was referring to Daniel Stefan Robertsen, managing director and developer of a proposed 50-megawatt hyperscale artificial intelligence data center in the town.
“His behavior is deplorable. Hindi mo dapat murahin o bastusin ang mga Pilipino, lalo na sa sarili naming bansa,” Abalos said in a Facebook post.
In a video posted by News5, Robertsen can be heard telling the people around him, “If you don’t have a brain, just f*ck go away!”
Abalos also said Robertsen, as a foreigner, should respect Filipinos and the country’s laws.IMT
