Calinog Mayor Francisco “Ico” Calvo voluntarily surrendered himself to authorities after a local court issued a warrant for his arrest.
Calvo was temporarily freed by the Calinog Municipal Police Station after posting bail of P36,000.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Ronaldo Melliza Jr. of the 10th Municipal Circuit Trial Court (Calinog – Bingawan).
Calvo is facing a complaint for allegedly violating Section 103 in relation to Section 49 of the Philippine Mining Act of 1995.
The complaint stemmed from claims that Calvo conducted quarrying operations on a property owned by a private individual. IMT
