Two district representatives from Iloilo logged perfect attendance records during the first regular session of the 20th Congress.

Iloilo City Lone District Rep. Julienne “Jam-Jam” Baronda and Iloilo First District Rep. Janette Garin were among the 98 House members who had no absences in plenary sessions.

The House conducted a total of 39 plenary sessions from July 28, 2025 — the same day President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. delivered his fourth State of the Nation Address — to June 3, 2026.

To formally commend the lawmakers with perfect attendance, a resolution was filed by, among others, House Speaker Isabela Sixth District Rep. Faustino “Bojie” Dy III, and Majority Leader Ilocos Norte First District  Rep. Sandro Marcos.

“Regular attendance in plenary sessions, a fundamental duty of every lawmaker, safeguards active participation in legislative debates, the timely enactment of vital laws, and strict oversight of govemnment functions,” House Resolution No. 1394 stated.

“A perfect record of attendance in plenary sessions demonstrates a firm commitment to actively represent the voice and interests of one’s constituency in any legislative discourse, debate, or division of the House,” it added.

Currently, the House has 318 sitting members.IMT
