Bringing services closer: Iloilo City launches Atipan-on-the-Move

The Iloilo City Government officially launched the Atipan-on-the-Move Caravan: Bulig nga mabatyagan. Serbisyo para sa tanan at the Arevalo Gym in Barangay Calaparan on Oct. 2, marking the start of a series of outreach activities that will bring City Hall services closer to communities across the city.

Led by Mayor Raisa Treñas together with city councilors, the caravan is part of the city’s commitment to make essential government services more accessible to residents.

“Isa ini sa mga promisa naton nga papanuogon naton ang aton mga serbisyo para mas mabatyagan sang aton mga pumuluyo. Gani, ginsiguro naton nga ang tanan nga programa nga pwede naton madala, ara sa Atipan-on-the-Move,” said the city mayor.

The kick-off activity recorded more than 1,067 registrations for free services from various city government offices.

Among the services offered were social and financial assistance through the Atipan Center; medical, dental, and medicine services from the City Health Office; ID and MediSen+ assistance from OSCA/PDAO; veterinary services; legal consultation and notary services; civil registry assistance; business registration and MSME support; employment assistance; Solo Parents ID application; recycling and seedling exchange; and other community services.

Mayor Treñas said the City Government plans to bring the Atipan-on-the-Move Caravan to different communities every week until the end of the year.

She emphasized that bringing services directly to barangays will help residents who face challenges with transportation costs and distance when accessing services at City Hall.

Through Atipan-on-the-Move, the City Government aims to ensure that essential services are not only available at City Hall but are brought closer to the people who need them.
