Palace Press Officer Claire Castro hit back at Senador Robin Padilla after he suggested she was being “balat-sibuyas” over the heckling incident during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s visit to Canada.
Castro said the issue is not about freedom of expression but about Filipinos using offensive language and showing poor manners.
O kaya ang pagmumura na PI?” she said.
She also denied filing any complaint over the incident and said she was not the one who spread the viral video. Castro added that those behind the confrontation were likely the ones who uploaded it for content.
“Hindi po tayo nagsumbong… as far as I’m concerned, wala po kaming sinumbong,” she said.IMT
