The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) will intensify security operations at 19 cemeteries, three ports and seven transport terminals from October 29 to November 2 to ensure public safety during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Of the 19 cemeteries covered by the security plan, 10 are public and nine are privately owned.

In an interview, ICPO director Police Colonel Wilbert Parilla said thousands of Ilonggos are expected to visit cemeteries and memorial parks during the annual observance.

Additional police personnel will be deployed to strengthen police visibility, manage traffic and maintain peace and order in areas expected to receive large crowds.

Police Assistance Desks will also be established in strategic locations to assist visitors, respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with medical teams and other emergency responders.

The ICPO will also enforce Executive Order No. 103, Series of 2026, issued by Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas to ensure an orderly Undas observance and regulate vending activities during the period.

The directive will take effect from 12:01 a.m. on October 29 until 12:59 a.m. on November 3.

Prohibited items and activities include alcoholic beverages, highly combustible materials and other potential fire hazards; unregistered drones without security clearance; and firearms without the required license or permit.

The order also prohibits medium- and large-sized speakers, videoke and other noise-producing equipment, gambling and gambling paraphernalia, overnight stays inside cemeteries, and littering.

The city’s No Smoking Ordinance will likewise be strictly enforced.

Parilla urged the public to avoid bringing large amounts of cash or displaying valuable belongings to reduce the risk of theft.

Parents were also reminded to closely supervise their children while visiting cemeteries.

The ICPO encouraged the public to report suspicious activities immediately to the nearest police station or call 911.IMT
