Senator Panfilo Lacson assured the public that the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s findings on alleged anomalies in flood control projects will not go to waste despite the leadership change in the Senate.

Lacson said the committee had already contributed to the DOJ and Ombudsman’s investigation through testimonial and documentary evidence gathered during the hearings.

The findings became part of the public record after he disclosed the contents of the chairman’s progress report in a privilege speech last May 5, according to him.

He added that he already ordered the transmittal of the evidence to the DOJ and Office of the Ombudsman to help in their case buildup against personalities linked to the issue.

Lacson also reminded fellow senators, including those allegedly connected to the flood control mess, to sign the partial committee report so it can be discussed in plenary.

He said the plenary discussions would also give concerned senators the opportunity to answer allegations and defend themselves before the public.IMT
