The Supreme Court (SC) has clarified that it has yet to rule on the main petition of Senator Ronald dela Rosa questioning the enforcement of the International Criminal Court arrest warrant in the country.

The SC explained that its recent action only involved the denial of dela Rosa’s request for a temporary restraining order and status quo ante order.

“The Court will upload the opinions relating to the denial” on Monday, the SC spokesperson’s office said.

The High Court also clarified that remarks made by Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen during a forum in Marawi City were allegedly taken out of context.

Dela Rosa’s camp earlier argued that the petition raises constitutional questions involving sovereignty, due process, and the authority of Philippine officials to cooperate with foreign tribunals.IMT
