The Abba’s Orchard School, one of the country’s leading Montessori institutions, has formally opened its first-ever campus in Iloilo.
The school is located inside Sta. Barbara Heights, a 173-hectare township developed by Megaworld subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI).
“Having The Abba’s Orchard’s presence at Sta. Barbara Heights is a milestone in our vision to continue building a complete, master-planned lifestyle community,” said Monica T. Salomon, GERI president.
“By welcoming one of the Philippines’ most respected Montessori institutions, we are creating a holistic environment where families can live, learn, and thrive,” she added.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Sept. 12. It was led by founders Chris and Ann Barrameda, together with Jennifer Ann Palmares-Fong, first vice president for sales and marketing of Megaworld Visayas.

The Abba’s Orchard School continues to accept enrollees for school year 2026–2027, offering CASA programs for children ages 3 to 6 and Elementary Level 1 for Grades 1 to 3.
The school plans to expand its offerings with the Erdkinder curriculum—a specialized adolescent program that bridges classroom education with hands-on, farm-based experiences.
By combining meaningful experiences with a carefully crafted environment, the school fosters student independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.

Since its inception in 1999 by Chris and Ann Barrameda, The Abba’s Orchard has grown remarkably, establishing a trusted footprint of Montessori education across major regions including Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
Renowned for its strict adherence to Dr. Maria Montessori’s educational philosophy, the institution champions child-led learning within meticulously designed environments that cultivate independence, curiosity, responsibility, and a lifelong passion for education.IMT
