National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag has urged Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa to surrender amid reports that the lawmaker had turned over 20 firearms.
“Senator Bato should just surrender too, hopefully,” Matibag said.
Matibag said authorities will coordinate with the PNP-CIDG to verify the firearms surrendered and determine their origin.
“Twenty armas? Mabuti naman. Pero yung 117 isurrender lahat,” he added, referring to the total number of firearms allegedly linked to the senator.
Asked about dela Rosa’s whereabouts, Matibag replied, “Nasa Earth pa rin.”IMT
